7 YEARS OF OBSERVING YOU | YOU HAVE MORE TO UNLEARN THAN YOU HAVE TO LEARN
- I want it, I got it.

Before you start reading this, I just want to say that I’m not planning on proofreading every single word of this. I’m just typing as I think and sharing my raw thoughts. I’m just giving you the kind of advice I wish someone had given me earlier. I don’t want this to sound overly polished or calculated. I just want to speak to you from the bottom of my heart and hopefully something in here is exactly what someone needs to hear.
I think it’s safe to say that everyone wants results like when you listen to a subliminal, make a playlist, subscribe to a subliminal channel, watch videos about manifestation, read success stories or even just search for information about changing your life, you’re doing it because some part of you expects or at least hopes that something can change and I think there’s something incredibly important in that. Even when you feel hopeless about a situation, there’s still a part of you holding onto hope. You’re looking forward to something. You’re imagining something beyond what you’re currently experiencing. Deep down you don’t believe you’re doomed to stay exactly where you are forever. You know there can be more for you otherwise you wouldn’t even be here looking for it. Please don’t underestimate how precious that perspective is. Hold onto that part of yourself forever.
The part of you that can look at your current circumstances and still think “there has to be more for me than this.” Always remain open to change, to possibility, to experiencing more out of life in whatever way feels right to you. I admire that. I admire anyone who refuses to believe that their current reality has to be their permanent reality. There is something so powerful about remaining open to the possibility of more and that’s a quality all of you share.
What you need to understand is that anyone who has ever done something great, changed their circumstances or created a completely different life for themselves had to be open to the possibility of it first. They were just like you, at some point they allowed themselves to believe that something better could happen, that more was possible, that good things could actually reach them. In a way I really think hope is one of the most important things we have. It’s what makes us look forward to the future. It’s what keeps us moving when our current circumstances don’t look the way we want them to. It’s also exactly what I try to cultivate whenever I share picture results and success stories almost every day. I want you to see something that reminds you, even for a second, that change is possible.
Hope is step one. I would even argue that it’s necessary if you want to get anywhere. Everything starts with that little feeling deep down that says, “maybe there’s more for me.” It never starts with hopelessness because hopelessness doesn’t move you anywhere. If anything it just gives you more convincing reasons to procrastinate, settle or make excuses for why your dreams should stay dreams. It’s kinda like what overthinking does to you, you might assume that overthinking something and coming to a seemingly “logical conclusion” is very rational and intelligent when all you’ve done is find a clever way to make excuses. It’s like being dumb very intelligently, you’re taking extra steps to doom, it’s completely irrational. Overthinking, just like hopelessness, keeps you in the same place but you were never meant to stay stuck in one version of yourself, one situation or one chapter forever. It’s completely unnatural to stay paralysed by your thoughts or feelings. You’re allowed to change. You’re allowed to want more. You’re allowed to believe that your life can become completely different from what it is right now.
People who tend to overthink are usually the same people you’ll find under subliminals asking a bajillion questions that sometimes don’t make any sense. Someone once genuinely asked me if they could listen to my subliminals if they liked Kpop. (?) Obviously that’s hilarious but it’s also such a perfect example of where overthinking can take you if you let it. You start questioning EVERYTHING, even things that have absolutely nothing to do with your results and I think this becomes especially obvious when the subject is manifestation. People will analyze the process from every possible angle before they ever actually allow themselves to just DO it. They’ll question whether they’re listening correctly, whether they’re affirming correctly, whether they need another technique, whether this thought ruined their progress, whether they need to detach, whether they’re too attached, whether they believe enough, whether they listened enough and meanwhile they could have simply listened, stayed consistent and consciously chosen thoughts that actually benefit the outcome they want.
It almost becomes a way of prolonging the “before” because there’s a fear underneath it of actually trying and potentially not getting the desired outcome. And that’s deeply psychological. It genuinely makes me sad sometimes when I find myself repeating the same simple answers over and over, not because answering is annoying to me but because it shows me how many people struggle with this without even realizing that they’re doing it. I think a lot of us have spent our entire lives being taught that anything worthwhile has to be complicated. You have to struggle enough, work hard enough, follow enough steps, find the perfect method, do everything exactly right and THEN maybe you’re allowed to have what you want. So when someone comes along and tells you, “No, you actually don’t need to make this so complicated,” your brain almost refuses to accept the simplicity of that answer.
It’s a good day for the simpletons because life does not need to be as complicated as you’ve been programmed to believe it is. Sometimes the answer really IS that simple but when you’re accustomed to believing that everything has to be difficult, a simple answer never feels satisfying enough. You feel like there has to be something else. Another step. Another technique. Another rule. Another explanation. And then you end up creating all these extra steps because they make you feel like you’ve somehow earned your manifestation. You do techniques that other people teach you, some “rituals” and convince yourself that if you just perform everything correctly enough, then you’ll finally deserve the outcome when really so much of what I’m talking about comes back to something incredibly basic, changing the thoughts you repeatedly entertain and where you consistently place your attention. It doesn’t have to be this supernatural thing existing somewhere outside of you. Of course, I’m not saying you’re literally the creator of the universe. I’m saying you work with what you were given, your consciousness, your attention, your perspective, your ability to choose what you focus on and your ability to stop constantly feeding thoughts that work against the life you’re trying to create.
I do think that when you’re left alone with yourself and try to control every single part of your manifestation, you can end up completely confused because you were meant to receive, not choreograph every single step of everything ever. I don’t know if this will resonate with everyone reading this but when you affirm something, you’re making a statement. You’re reaching a conclusion. It’s almost like yes, no, or maybe and if you keep living in “maybe,” you’re naturally going to get hot and cold thoughts and experiences because you never actually decided.
Affirming is supposed to be conclusive. It’s a statement. You conclude when you affirm. That’s why something like, “My manifestation will come true if I do X, Y and Z” feels so unnatural. You’ve never thought that way about everything else in your life yet you’ve always been manifesting in the sense that your reality reflects the thoughts, beliefs, expectations and patterns you repeatedly reinforce so when you keep affirming that you need extra steps, all you’re really doing is reinforcing a reality where you’re constantly completing steps. You stay in the process instead of identifying with the outcome. You keep telling yourself, “It’ll happen once I do this,” then “It’ll happen once I do that,” it’s literally like an endless checklist. Sometimes I feel like some of you are so afraid of the possibility of failure because you’ve been conditioned to see it as something that could happen, that you unconsciously do everything you can to avoid reaching any conclusion at all. Whether the outcome would be good or bad, you’d rather stay in the process indefinitely because as long as you’re still “trying,” you never have to face a definitive outcome that you think could disappoint you. Overcomplicating everything can be so counterproductive. You keep preparing instead of receiving, like you’re just waiting and waiting and waiting for no reason. You cultivate that state of waiting and then eventually come to the conclusion that things just don’t work out for you, when the entire time you’ve been repeatedly feeding the exact thoughts that keep you stuck in the waiting stage. It’s next level self sabotage, you keep reinforcing the process, never allow yourself to settle into the outcome and then use the lack of an outcome as evidence that you can’t get what you want.
Again, it’s deeply psychological and the first step is simply recognizing the patterns you’ve created so you can actually change them. I think there’s something incredibly freeing about letting go of all that pressure and allowing yourself to believe that good things can come to you simply. You don’t need to go to war with yourself or with life every time you want something. Use what you were actually given and let go of the rest. Work with what is yours to control, your mind is powerful enough, it really is.
This is no judgment at all, I’m just observing you as I’ve done for like 7 years now, it's a recurring pattern and something I’ve caught myself struggling with early on, you need to do more unlearning than you do learning actually. I’m currently editing a video where I talk about a lot of this in more depth and I really hope it resonates with some of you and helps you see things differently but one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give you is to experiment on yourself. Learn from your own experiences. Pay attention to what happens when you change your thoughts, when you persist, when you stop feeding an old story and when you actually get results. Once you have your own experiences to look back on instead of constantly relying on other people’s success stories, you start learning how to navigate life in a way that actually works for you.
Trusting yourself can be really difficult in the beginning because you almost feel like you’ve been pushed into this void of not knowing exactly how, when, if or what you’re supposed to do next but the one thing I think you need to protect throughout all of that is your hope because it is what moves us forward. Keep that. Stay persistent. When negative thoughts show up, tell them to get behind you and keep moving forward anyway. You don’t need to stop every five seconds to dissect the technicalities, search for another explanation or figure out whether science, statistics, someone else’s experience or whatever else “backs you up.” None of those things need to have the final say over what you allow yourself to pursue. You were given consciousness. You were given thoughts. You were given the ability to direct your attention, change your perspective, imagine, make decisions, persist, learn, adapt and keep going and there is so much you can do with that. You HAVE all you need. I don’t care if the statistics say the odds of something are small when there is still a possibility beyond those odds. If every person throughout history had looked at the odds stacked against them and decided that statistics deserved the final word, we would have missed out on so much greatness.
I think going head on and affirming what you want regardless of what’s happening around you is one of the smartest things you can do but I also recognize that to the overthinkers out there, it might feel like the dumbest thing you could possibly do. I genuinely think overthinking is the dumber option. Thinking more does not automatically mean you’ll arrive at a better answer but it will definitely take up a good chunk of your time. So no thank you. We want our manifestations instantly over here. If believing in yourself relentlessly makes you look stupid in the eyes of other people, then so be it. Winners don’t spend their entire lives sitting around waiting for enough reassurance to finally move. They decide what they want and persist even when there’s uncertainty. I’m telling you, you need to protect that fire of hope inside of you. I could take it even further and say that you don’t actually need to struggle with this at all. You can be completely casual about it. You have it and that’s that. That’s your conclusion so why would you ever acknowledge, analyze and entertain every little thing that contradicts that statement?
To me, that’s what makes no sense. If you’re listening to a subliminal that repeatedly reinforces that you have your results, why would you spend the rest of your time thinking from the perspective of someone who doesn’t have them? You’re essentially going back and forth with yourself for no reason, affirming one thing and then immediately arguing for the opposite. There’s nothing intelligent or productive about constantly reopening a conclusion you already made. Decide what you want, let yourself settle into that decision and stop feeling like you need to debate yourself every five minutes. You need to shut that little nerd up in your head that’s constantly trying to “correct” you with the “uhm, actually 🤓☝️” every time you decide something. Slap that thought away and keep it moving because it really does creep up on you and before you know it, you’ve let technicalities that come from OUTSIDE of you completely corrupt a way of thinking that could’ve been so simple. You already have everything you need. Stop turning toward the technicalities of every little thing looking for reasons why something can or can’t happen. We don’t care. We want the results. That’s it. It really can be that simple.
Don’t you dare overthink this post either, I can already see the random questions coming when you KNOW you already know the answers. You get the gist of what I’m saying and best believe it does not go any deeper than what I’ve expressed. There’s no hidden technicality, no extra rule, no deeper meaning you need to uncover. It really is that simple.
This is a really short and messy article that I basically typed out as my thoughts came to me with no real direction in mind like I said so of course it doesn’t include everything I’d like to talk about but I still felt like I had something worth sharing and more than anything, I hope reading this leads you to a conclusion. Don’t obsessively ponder something when deep down you already know what needs to be done. At some point, stop questioning and just do it. If you’ve made it all the way to the end, thank you for hearing me out and allowing me to share my thoughts with you. I love you all deeply and I truly hope you carry something from this with you.
